I also have a spare van key without the buttons and an alarm fob with 4 buttons with pictures next the them showing: Arm, Disarm, picture of a speaker and picture of an open car boot.Autowatch Ghost 2 Immobiliser (YOUR VEHICLE WILL NEVER GET STOLEN AGAIN)
The dealer said this was not needed to use the system and could be left at home. He said I need to unlock the van doors to disarm the alarm before opening the rear habitation door. That works fine, except when we a in the van if we want to lock the main van doors, we press the button on the key fob and the central locking locks and then it sets the alarm. How do you lock the doors and not set the alarm? It also mentions an emergency disarm option by putting a touch key in a socket. Cheers Richard.
Mine is an autowatch different model I have a wireless PIR and wireless hab door switch, both work when they want. Only bit that is reliable is the immobiliser curcuit and drivers door pin switch.
If i could be bothered i would remove the lot I have an Autowatch also had one on the last van brilliant bit of kit providing you use the correct one for a Motorhome, I been very pleased with both of them. The Autowatch is a caravan alarm and not suitable for Motorhomes it is not Thatham approved and therefore not accepted by insurance companies.
If you have internal wireless PIR sensors check the batteries in them chances are they need replacing, if they are flat it will cause intermittent triggering of the alarm. If you arm the alarm with the internal sensors disabled and you get no intermittent triggering you will know the problem is with the internal sensors.
Last edited: Apr 2, The Dudess. Just bought a new to us van and the dealer told us that if you want the doors locked when you are inside but don't want the alarm to go off you should press the door lock button twice in fairly quick sucession. We haven't tried it yet but may be worth you trying this.

Unset it and tried again and the same. Tried the spare Autowatch fob just in case and the same. Today I replaced the batteries in the wireless PIR and still the same. Did a Google search but could not find anything on the interweb relating to the series of beeps.
Anyone got an answer to why it's doing this, should I be worried and how do I get back to it operating normally. Update : I had not left it in it's armed state, but have now tied to leave it armed and after about 30 seconds or so the alarm siren goes off. MH 55 FUN. Feb 18, 3, 4, Rural South West Wales. Do you have a bonnet switch? Are your door and locker switches wireless, if so I would replace the batteries as well. It seems to be my day for having similar faults to someone else.
This happened to us and it was the bonnet switch. Just needs a turn to make better contact. Can post photo tomorrow if you need it. Lenny HB said:. Riverbankannie said:. There is a test you can run, just google the instructions.
You will need the alarms pin number. Right, got it sorted, it was the hab door contact. I spent 10 years as a CCTV and intruder alarm engineer on domestic and industrial systems, so when I saw the cable routing for the hab door contact I was not impressed but it did make it easy to access and test.
Pretty well all the magnetic reed switch contacts on domestic and industrial systems are on a normally closed circuit, so I cut the wires to the contact, stripped back the insulation and twisted the conductors together and tried setting the alarm, bugger still the same. Ok not quit what I was expecting. Next, connected the door contact to a multi meter and set to continuity.Welcome to the Twincam Club Forum!
